FamilySearch is the largest genealogy organization in the world, with a collection of records, resources, and services designed to help people learn more about their family history. The Packhams are here in Vigo county to preserve the county's probate records dating back to 1818 so that they can be shared online at FamilySearch.org, one of the most heavily used genealogy sites on the Internet. The Packhams will present the details of this process.
Ann and Michael Packham are from Utah. She is a retired accountant, and he, a retired band and orchestra teacher. They are here in Vigo County as missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with the specific assignment as record preservation volunteers. They do this because of their love for genealogy and their dedication to connecting families across generations. Their family, posterity and ancestry, brings joy and meaning to the Packhams' lives.
