Did you know that Google runs more than 150 different search engines in different parts of the world?  Most people don't realize that the choice of Google search engine can have a profound impact on the search results delivered to you. More than 80% of any Google search is in the local country or language. The use of different geographical search engines can be extremely helpful in locating information about your ancestors and any existing records where they lived.

On Monday, July 9, 2018, the Wabash Valley Genealogy will present a program entitled “Using 150 Google Country Search Engines!”  Presenter for the program will be George G. Morgan, internationally known genealogical writer and speaker.  The program will be held on the lower level of the Vigo County Public Library in Terre Haute, Indiana.

This seminar discusses how to locate Google search engines by location and illustrates how different the search results can be. It also addresses Google translate and how to use it with websites in languages you may not know.

George G. Morgan is president of Aha! Seminars, Inc., and an internationally recognized genealogy expert who presents in the U.S., Canada, England, on cruise ships, and webinars. He is the co-host of the longest running genealogical podcast, The Genealogy GuysSM Podcast.  His company also produces the Genealogy Connection podcast.

George is also a prolific writer, with twelve books to his credit including the fourth edition How to Do Everything: Genealogy. He is a regular writer for the Association of Professional Genealogists Quarterly, Family Tree Magazine, Internet Genealogy, and Your Genealogy Today. Morgan has won writing awards from the Association of Professional Genealogists and the International Society of Family History Writers and Editors.
