Estate Planning Genealogy-Style

Speaker, lecturer, and genealogist Carla Cegielski, will present four topics during our seminar day to area genealogists and state-wide librarians. The Genealogy Seminar has been state certified for librarians seeking LEUs. Topics are: Treasures of the Internet Archive; DPLA: Digitizing America; Crowdsource Genealogy; and Estate Planning Genealogy-style​. 

We will have room for 42 people. Please register through the library with a registration fee of $15 to insure your spot. This will pay for all your materials, carry-all bag with goodies, lunch, drinks and snacks (supplied throughout the day). Please bring a laptop.

Speaker's Bio:

Carla is a professional family history researcher specializing in Ohio and West Virginia. She has been researching her own family for over 35 years and providing research services to others for 13 years. She performs on-site research at numerous repositories in Ohio and West Virginia. Carla is webmaster for both the APG national and APG Great Lakes Chapter websites. She is also past President of the Lake County Genealogical Society. Her memberships include NGS, NSDAR, OGS and many locality-based genealogical societies. Carla has a Master's Degree in Library Science and teaches information literacy at a local college.
