In this season opener of a new series of history programs sponsored by the Southwestern Indiana Historical Society, Stan Schmitt will describe how the First World War affected the local German-American community, whose roots in Evansville ran deep.

Stan is the Vanderburgh County Historian, as well as a Library Assistant at Willard.

The program is free and open to the public; reservations are appreciated to ensure sufficient seating.
