Enhance the personal chronology of your ancestor with relative historical events to create a timeline allowing you to see where the generations meet. This pragmatic perspective of looking at the facts in a different way can set the stage for writing your own life story and provide a guide for further family history research. Explore online sources of historical data to verify and supplement the life history of your ancestors.

The presenter, Betty L. Warren, is past president of the Indiana Genealogical Society and earned professional credentials as a genealogist from Brigham Young University. She is a recipient of the Willard C. Heiss Family History Award, which is presented annually by IHS.
