Family History and Genealogy Conference

       

Midwestern Roots 2014 features more than 30 sessions presented by nationally known speakers including Warren Bittner, Lisa Louise Cooke, Joan Hostetler, Amy Johnson Crow, Thomas MacEntee, James H. Madison, Anne Gillespie Mitchell, Daniel S. Poffenberger, Curt B. Witcher and others.

Most of the sessions will focus on using ever-changing and emerging technologies and sources online. Other sessions will cover photo preservation, DNA, methodology and using traditional sources

Pre-conference activities include a workshop for people who work or volunteer in genealogy collections, hands-on computer labs, writing sessions and photo identification. The day will conclude with The Great Google Earth Game Show with Lisa Louise Cooke.
