  Marlene Polster is a Genealogical Clerk for the Porter County, Library system in Valparaiso, IN.  Her position at the library included creating indexes and having them published, to place on the libraries shelves.  She was appointed by the Indiana Genealogical Society to hold the position of Lake County Genealogist 8 years ago. Marlene has been a member of IGS for 17 years and is a Co-chair the Indiana Genealogical Societies program of County Genealogist .  She is also the President of the Northwest Indiana Genealogical Society and as held various position on their board for the past 13 years. 

Some of this position has included working on many of NWIGS publishing projects. Marlene has indexed and co-published the 

St. John Evangical Lutheran Church Early Deaths 1851-1903.  She does some limited research for others while finding time for her own research as well.
